**Rate of Pay: $28.11 - $28.70 **per hour**

Under the direct supervision of the Supervisor - Evening Live-in Treatment Program, or Clinical Supervisor of Crossroads Centre, the Addiction Worker is responsible for assisting in the delivery of treatment services for client of Adult Addiction & Problem Gambling programs. Key responsibilities include: providing information and direct enquiries for services, supporting and monitoring client through entry and engaging in the continuum of treatment services, (pre, post, live-in treatment, and aftercare supports) the facilitation of group activities, and ensuring the maintenance of security and upkeep of the facility and program resources.

**Qualifications**:
Education/Experience:

- Minimum of a two-year Diploma in Social Services or Addictions field
- Minimum of one year experience working with Adult Addiction clients in a congregate setting or community-based programs

Skills/Abilities:

- Working knowledge of addiction issues, crisis management and conflict resolution skills
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills and excellent time management skills
- Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team
- Good interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Thorough understanding of all aspects of substance abuse and/or problem gambling
- Demonstrated regular attendance at work

Asset:
Knowledge of working with DBT, CBT framework is an asset

**CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT**- Ability to work irregular hours
- Must undergo a successful Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC)
- Valid Ontario driver's License
Class G
