**Rate of Pay: $28.11 - $28.70**

Within the framework of the Adult Addiction Programs, Sister Margaret Smith Centre is seeking dedicated Addiction Workers primarily for Crossroads Centre. Crossroads Centre operates as a 24/7 pre/post-treatment abstinence-based program and is committed to providing comprehensive support to individuals on their recovery journey. The Addiction Worker plays a pivotal role in delivering day-to-day support and programming to clients within the program, working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.

**Qualifications**:
Education/Experience:

- Minimum of a two-year Diploma in Social Services or Addictions field
- Minimum of one year experience working with Adult Addiction clients in a congregate setting or community-based programs

Skills/Abilities:

- Working knowledge of addiction issues, crisis management and conflict resolution skills
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills and excellent time management skills
- Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team
- Good interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Thorough understanding of all aspects of substance abuse and/or problem gambling
- Demonstrated regular attendance at work

Asset:
Knowledge of working with DBT, CBT framework is an asset

**CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT**
- Ability to work irregular hours
- Must undergo a successful Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC)
- Valid Ontario driver's License
Class G
