Norseman Structures has been in the protection and shelter business for over 100 years, starting with the fabrication of outfitter and exploration tents in the 1920s. Today we deliver a wide variety of ShelterSolutions to customers in virtually every industry, in a variety of climates, anywhere in the world.

The Packager is responsible for all aspects of the packaging processes, including safety, quality control, material handling, process monitoring and various support activities. This role is accountable for the verification and maintenance of accurate records in the ERP system and labelling of goods meet Norseman Structures requirements. The Packager will perform general duties including but not limited to picking and packing orders, processing & recording orders in the system, and other related tasks as assigned.

**Job Duties**
- Ensures implementation and adherence to health and safety regulations; actively promotes safety and encourage safe work practices.
- Maintains quality manufacturing practices and processes; follows defined procedures/inspection criteria, and takes appropriate action on actual and potential problems.
- Maintains a productive and efficient work environment.
- Pick, pack and organize with detail and accuracy, all material goods according to written instructions
- Ensures packaging of warehouse goods, both purchased and manufactured, are available, accurately labelled and organized.

**Requirements**:

- High School diploma/GED
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a shipping & receiving or manufacturing setting.
- Physically fit
- Able to read and interpret blue-prints and tape measures (imperial measurements) is required.
- Able to use Microsoft Office will be considered an asset.
- Able to use an ERP system will be considered an asset.
- Able to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Effective organizational and time management skills in handling multiple projects, performing a variety of tasks, and meeting required deadlines.
- Experienced in operating an indoor forklift - preferred but not required
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing and ISO standards are considered assets.
