**The Position: Heavy Equipment Technician On Road/Off Road**
- Job Description:_

Reporting to the Service Manager, the Heavy Equipment Technician is responsible for accurately and efficiently diagnosing and repairing industrial engines, power generation products, power systems products and various makes and models of equipment.
- Responsibilities:_
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure work is completed in a timely manner
- Collaborate with team members to provide exceptional customer service and support
- Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on a variety of industrial engines such as Isuzu Diesel, Deutz Diesel, Perkins, Kohler Engines, and Yanmar
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
- Utilize diagnostic tools to accurately diagnose and repair engines and equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot fuel, electrical and complex engine systems
- Perform scheduled maintenance services on equipment
- Reassemble, adjust and test new or repaired components
- Requirements:_
- Hold a Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician On-Road or Off-Road Ticket or 3rd year apprenticeship
- Or
- Automotive Service Technician Journeyperson or 4th year apprentice
- Knowledge and experience working with Isuzu Diesel, Deutz Diesel, Perkins, Kohler Engines, Yanmar, or similar
- Knowledge or experience working with Generac, Multiquip Power, Doosan, Miller Welders, or Airman or similar
- Excellent technical analysis and troubleshooting skills
- Previous experience diagnosing and repairing industrial engines, generators, light towers, and compressors
- Proficient with computers, computer systems and diagnostic equipment
- Previous dealership experience considered an asset
- Ability to work as a team as well on your own without direct supervision
- Must possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license
- Provide a clean driver’s abstract and maintain a clean driving record
