Here is what you will be doing:
Overall:
- Contributes to bringing about meaningful improvement in health care by providing leadership in the use of evidence to determine what constitutes optimal care for a specific diagnosis, service area or health system issue and providing guidance on important areas for quality improvement related to each area

Content Analysis:
- Conducts extensive searches of and appraises available clinical practice guidelines and other information sources related to the topic area in order to gain a broad understanding of and determine the potential scope of various health topics- Works with the Lead, Clinical and Quality Standards to refine the scope of projects- Works with clinical experts to guide understanding and specific considerations related to the scope of the topic area- Liaises with stakeholders to identify priority areas for research and analysis related to the topic area- Works with the Lead, Clinical and Quality Standards and the operations team to execute a robust consultation process on the proposed scope of the topic- Summarizes analyses and assists with the preparation of documents and presentation materials- Summarizes and synthesizes input from experts and the proceedings of expert advisory committee meetings

Relationship Management:
- Develops relationships with colleagues within team, across the organization and externally to understand business/operations activities and research needs, shares information, and provides assistance in understanding methodologies and results- Coordinates with internal and external stakeholders to execute project activities- Collaborates with internal colleagues to ensure projects are delivered on-time and on budget

Here is what you will need to be successful:
Education and Experience- An undergraduate degree in social or health sciences, health administration, public health, epidemiology, or a related field is required- A master’s degree in social or health sciences, health administration, public health, epidemiology, or a related field is preferred- Two to four years of experience using research methods, appraising evidence, knowledge of the Canadian health care system- Two years of experience in clinical and/or quality improvement-related content development is preferred

Knowledge and Skills- An understanding of Ontario’s health care system, including gaps between actual and ideal care, reasons for these gaps, and potential mechanisms available to address them- An understanding of health equity, including the social determinants of health and their impacts on health outcomes for different populations- Strong research and analytical skills, with demonstrated experience in conducting literature reviews or systematic reviews, critical appraisal, and analysis of findings- Knowledge of bibliographic databases and excellent computer skills, including proficiency in use of Microsoft Office and virtual meeting software (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams, Zoom)- Proven ability to establish positive working relationships; strong skills- Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude, and work well with a broad network of teams, colleagues, and external stakeholders, as well as work well independently- Excellent written and oral communication skills; including ability to prepare presentation materials, reports, evidence summaries, meeting minutes, etc.- A novel thinker who enjoys generating and exploring innovative ideas and solutions- Demonstrated initiative and independence to take appropriate action and anticipate organizational needs- Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills; ability to seek and weigh opinions and evidence, compromising where necessary on ways and means but not on principles or goals- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy; responsible and highly
