EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

**Location**: 3438 Manning Dr, London, Ontario
**Position Type**: Full-time - Permanent
**Reporting**: Equipment Supervisor
**Hours**: Monday to Friday, 6:30am to 5:00pm
**Rate**: $20.75 per hour plus $1.00 afternoon premium, ($21.75/h)

**Responsibilities**:
In the position of Equipment Operator your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Must adhere to Miller Waste System safety protocols and must be familiar with occupational Health & Safety Act
- Your main area of responsibility will be compactor hook up and working as a forklift operator.
- When all the trailers are done being loaded you will be required to clean the compactor area and report to the tip floor for spotting duties.
- Also, in this role you will be responsible for the support of the current transfer station Loader Operators.
- Operation of any of the compactors as well as a Forklift and Skid Steer.
- May be cross trained as a Backup Loader Operator to assist with business needs when required.

**Requirements**:

- Previous compactor experience is a major asset
- Completed the Miller Waste Systems Forklift/Skid Steer training course or a Forklift certificate.
- Previous experience operating a Skid Steer will be preferential
- Can work cooperatively with other machine operators
- Are knowledgeable with pre-trip inspections and maintenance of equipment
- You will be required to work extended hours, including weekends and holidays with limited notice.
- You must be a team player
- Have proven safe working habits
- Must be punctual with an excellent attendance record
- Be comfortable to perform repetitive movements and stand for extended periods of time
