Toronto, Canada JLL Full time

JLL supports the Whole You, personally and professionally.

JLL Canada is seeking a highly motivated Manager of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) to take charge of our largest national accounts, making sure that the highest standards of HSE are not only met, but exceeded. If you are passionate about ensuring the well-being of employees and clients alike, this dynamic position offers a blend of hands-on investigations and strategic leadership.

As part of your role, you will have the opportunity to travel to various sites across the country (10-20%), allowing you to witness the impact of your expertise firsthand. We will rely on your wealth of knowledge in implementing best management practices and programs, navigating the intricacies of the federally regulated portfolio and client.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced professional who thrives in a fast-paced, matrixed environment and excels at managing multiple projects simultaneously. As the overseer of our HSE initiatives on a national scale, your contributions will be invaluable in guaranteeing consistency, driving continuous improvement, and ultimately ensuring unrivaled client confidence in our services.

**WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING**:
Become the primary point of contact for HSE requirements and activities for the account. Communicate HSE needs and results to the Account Leadership Team.
Maintain documentation describing the HSE program (playbooks, procedures, etc.) and records required by JLL, regulation, and the client.
Support completion and maintenance of Hazard/PPE Assessments for all account locations. Typical hazards for employees working on this team include electrical safety, LO/TO, lone worker, work at heights, and driving safety.
Support environmental compliance program (for example, refrigerant management, fuel storage tank management, etc.)
Create and maintain a regulatory compliance register for each account location.
Play a lead role in the continued development and refinement of JLL’s HSSE culture and training programs on the account.
Develop the account training matrix; manage and assign the on-line training requirements; and provide training/presentations as needed on specific topics applicable to the account employees.
Ensure that accidents, injuries, near misses, good catches, and other events are captured, and the data is managed and reported.
Participate with operating sites as needed to lead or support investigations of HSSE events, the analysis of root cause(s), support/track the implementation of effective corrective actions, and prepare communications to share the lessons-learned from such events across the account operations.
Support the HSSE Americas team in rolling out new compliance and best management practices programs across the account (and occasionally support JLL-wide HSE activities).
Provide supervision, leadership, mentoring and coaching to team members, including providing training to direct reports on an ongoing basis, provide review and feedback on performance, provide technical training and/or mentor junior colleagues, and manage use of leave for personnel.
Other duties as reasonably required.

**WHAT YOU BRING**:
7+ years of progressive HSE experience.
Degree in safety management, industrial hygiene, environmental science, or relevant field is an asset.
Proven record of success with program and project management skills for balancing multi-site activities.
Broad based knowledge of Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health regulations. Our client is a Federally regulated entity, while our employees are provincially regulated. Experience working in both regulatory frameworks is an asset. Experience working with environmental compliance requirements associated with facility management is preferred.
Experience with public institution facilities and union environments preferred.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
A proven record of making presentations and providing effective training.
Ability to effectively and cooperatively interface with peers, colleagues, and clients.
Analytical and creative problem-solving skills, and ability to employ intelligent flexibility.
Bilingual - French/English preferred.
