Millar Western’s Slake Lake Pulp Division is currently seeking a detail-oriented, self-motivated person with a strong commitment to productivity and continuous improvement to join our mill as Steam Chief. Reporting to the Production Manager, this individual will take responsibility for coordinating maintenance and operational activities to ensure compliance with ABSA regulations, as well as overseeing the coordination of fire protection systems for our facility. You’ll play a crucial role in optimizing steam usage within our processes and ensuring the efficient operation of HVAC systems. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive database of safe work procedures, as well as creating syllabi for operating positions and crafting training packages. Your duties will also involve maintaining our operations library in SharePoint and providing support for engineering projects as needed.
