Alfa Laval Canada is looking for a Service Centre Technician (Separation) in our Service Centre team, who would be responsible team member in executing repair activities for separators in our service center as per planned schedule. This role involves following tasks as assigned by the Team Lead to ensure daily production goals are met. Ensure quality of the repair job and is done as per AL repair procedure. Person should initiate & practice to comply requirement of ALPS, 5S, ISO. Safety being priority, responsible to comply all requirement for safe work environment during repair activities. Your strong and courageous mindset with a focus on quality is key.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF POSITION (outline job duties and responsibilities):

- Your duties will include the cleaning of equipment, decanters, high speed separators; but may also include disassembly, inspection, and assembly of separation equipment and other related products.
- Your duties will also include working on heat exchangers at various stages of the reconditioning process
- You will also be required to support Field Service activities at customers locations if requested
- Record repairs and maintenance performed.
- Record parts and materials used, and order or requisition new parts and materials as necessary.
- Operate machine tools as needed
- Operate welding equipment as needed
- Operation of high-pressure washer
- Use of parts washing equipment
- Use of overhead cranes
- Use of lift truck / forklifts
- Use of hand and power tools
- You will work with the Team Lead to ensure daily workflow and customer deliveries are met.
- You will ensure activities within the service center follow our QBS, ISO and Health and Safety systems.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION DESIRED
- High School diploma and/or at least 3 years of practical experience.
- A ticketed Millwright graduate of an accredited apprenticeship or training program
- Type and Length of Experience
- 3 years’ experience of industrial service work in various markets.
- Able to work with a team and follow work instructions.
- Able to work on call and/or weekends (as necessary if required)
- High energy with high level of self-initiative and strong sense of urgency. Ability to multitask.
- High integrity.
- Computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Office).
- Safety mindset.
- Quality mindset.

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS
- Physical Requirements (bend, reach, kneel, climbing and standing)
- Environmental Factors (hazardous materials, work location, work surfaces, outdoor/indoor - heat/cold exposure)

OTHER REQUIREMENTS (i.e., travel, motor vehicle use, drug and alcohol free, etc.)
- Overhead crane training and or certification
- Reach truck / forklift training and or certification
