Responsible of designing and overseeing the implementation of enterprise-level communications strategies that reinforce WSP’s strategic objectives and drive understanding of the company’s purpose, values, strategy, and progress with a wide range of stakeholders, including employees, clients, analysts and investors, media, business partners, policy makers and communities.

The VP Global Corporate Communications & Public Relations will support the design and execution of a corporate narrative strategy to reinforce and grow awareness and improve key stakeholders’ understanding and recognition of the company’s service offering. The role involves further positioning WSP as the undisputed leader in the industry and elevating the public relations programs and social media activities for the company’s corporate brand.

Reporting to the Global Chief Communications Officer, the role includes directing and monitoring the performance of the communications team, performing proactive outreach and creating impactful annual stakeholder relations plans. Apart from managing communications campaigns and deliverables to ensure aligned messaging across all platforms, the role includes developing strategies for public relations, assisting in crisis communications, writing speeches for senior management, and crafting plans for employee engagement. Responsibilities also include identifying challenges and communication issues within the organization and proposing effective solutions.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or related field. Master’s degree or MBA would be a plus.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in a senior leadership role in Communications.
- Proven experience in managing a global team and working in a multinational corporation.
- Experience in corporate communications, Investor Relations, Public relations, and Corporate brand management.
- Experience in social media strategy.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong understanding of global market dynamics.
- Ability to work with senior executives.
- Proficiency in communication platforms and content management systems.
- Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
- Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team.
- High tolerance for ambiguity and can work effectively in a matrix organization.
- Strong persuasion skills and excellent negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in French and English is required. Knowledge of additional languages would be a plus.
