CCHF is seeking a **Human Resources Intern (4 Month Contract) **who is eager to develop their Human Resources skill set and help bring our HR strategy to life, ultimately cultivating a culture of engaged, high performers who help us achieve our Mission to_ _**_do what is right for children, so they live their healthiest, most fulfilling lives_**_._

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**

Under the guidance of the Human Resources Team, you will lead or support a broad range of HR priorities, always providing exceptional customer service. Your experiences will include:

- Onboarding: lead onboarding and orientation for new hires including frequent liaison with external business partners
- Learning & Development: coordinate training programs, monitor completion of required training, and source training facilitators
- Employee Relations: Serve as first point of contact and resource for staff and management, to assist on a variety of HR related matters, ensuring appropriate follow-up and responsiveness.
- Policy & Compliance: monitor legislation and ensure internal policy is updated in accordance
- Data & Reporting: manage data in HRIS, generate reports and create how-to guides
- Payroll: support the payroll process including verification of time sheets, coordinating exception processes, accurately updating and maintaining time off balances

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Be enrolled in a Human Resources Program at a post-secondary institution; or have graduated from the program within the last twelve months
- Demonstrate professionalism and communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
- Possess superior written and oral communication, including active listening
- Be able to work independently and proactively with mínimal direction
- Possess excellent problem-solving abilities, analytical and conflict resolution skills
- Anticipate needs and prioritize competing priorities efficiently
- Serve as a role model for a positive, inclusive, and respectful work environment
- Have working knowledge of workplace legislation (OHSA, Employment Standards, Human Rights, etc.)
- Discretion to manage sensitive and confidential information
