Ecolab, the leading global developer of premium cleaning, sanitizing and maintenance products and services for the hospitality, institutional and industrial markets is seeking a **Quality Assurance Specialist**who will be responsible for ISO and regulatory documentation as well as analytical testing that will be used for product validation and compliance. In this position you will also perform quality testing, maintenance, and calibrations of the instruments in addition to assisting in the development of new test methods as needed.

**What You Will Do**:

- Assist in the implementation and administration of the quality oversight program and procedures
- Review quality documentation for compliance to the quality program
- Conduct audits and inspections to verify that project services and deliverables meet quality program requirements
- Liaise with all relevant parties, internal and external, during quality audits and inspections.
- Manage and report on non-conformities, corrective and preventive actions
- Report quality metrics on a regular basis, the frequency of which is to be determined, and contribute to continuous improvement and Lessons Learned activities.
- Assist in defining leading indicators.
- Assist in maintaining the productivity and organization of a busy production laboratory
- Maintain Standard Operating Procedures and make recommends for their improvement
- Participate in scientific discussion and critical thinking
- Assemble test materials and equipment to expedite test procedures
- Perform laboratory testing under the supervision of scientists and project leaders
- Record test results accurately and concisely in a laboratory notebook
- Assist in analyzing and interpreting experimental data
- Maintain clean and safe work facility

**Position Details**:

- Plant Location: Mississauga, ON (Eglinton/Tomken)

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- B.Sc. degree in an applicable field
- 2 - 5 years of experience in quality assurance, regulatory, ISO, or GMP or related field
- Knowledge of ISO and GMP standards
- Knowledge of laboratory practices, scientific terminology, and the characterization and preparation of materials used in routine and special procedure
- Immigration sponsorship not available for this role.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience in a lab environment
- A high attention to detail and quality in results
- Must be able to establish and meet deadlines to produce independent results, while building a network of resources in the company
- Must work well with other team members, including design engineers
- Ability to multi-task and manage numerous projects simultaneously

**Working Conditions and Physical Demands**
- The position involves working in a quality lab and production as well as working in an office setting.
- Work is carried out in a plant and lab environment with exposure to disagreeable elements of the plant such as noise, and occasional exposure to chemicals. The role may be exposed to extreme temperatures and may be exposed to chemicals.
- From time to time, the position may be required to lift/carry 20 pounds.
