Burckhardt Compression was founded in 1844 as a mechanical workshop and, in 2024, will be celebrating its 180th anniversary. Today, Burckhardt Compression is a worldwide market leader for reciprocating compressor systems and the only manufacturer and service provider that covers a full range of reciprocating compressor technologies and services. Within Canada, Burckhardt Compression has a strong Services division in which we aim to provide one-stop reciprocating service for our customers. We are able to provide field service, repair and engineering/revamp services and spare parts for any brand of reciprocating compressor.

Burckhardt Compression (Canada) Inc. (BCCA) has an opening for a **Repair & Manufacturing Manager**, that will be directly reporting to the Director of Operations, this position is based in Edmonton, AB.
- **Key Tasks & Accountabilities**_
- Provide leadership and oversight of the repair & manufacturing departments.
- Accountable for all repair & manufacturing financial goals and targets.
- Adopt innovative repair and manufacturing process to increase quality and production.
- Interact with internal and external customers to provide quotes, address inquiries, resolve quality issues, and gather feedback to improve service quality.
- Assign tasks, provide guidance, and facilitate on-the-job training and development.
- Coordinate maintenance activities and minimize downtime and disruptions to production.
- **Key Responsibilities**_

**Leadership & Management**
- Promote and maintain a positive work environment, encourage a culture with a growth mindset to improve employee engagement and teamwork.
- Foster a culture of accountability incorporating our company Values & Behaviors and inclusivity.
- Manage the performance of direct reports by providing training to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and to safety & quality expectations.
- Provide guidance and feedback to ensure expectations are being and continue to be met.
- Conduct performance appraisals, goal setting & mid-year reviews within the set timelines.
- Assist in the development of financial and non-financial performance measures that support the company's strategic direction.
- Training and mentoring of current and new team members.

**Safety and Quality**
- Familiarity with the most current repair & manufacturing techniques of rotating equipment.
- Champion quality initiatives throughout the workshop.
- Ensure compliance of all safety policies and operating practices, identify deficiencies, and take corrective action as necessary.

**Education/Experience**
- Relevant journeyperson ticket or equivalent post-secondary studies.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in an ISO repair & manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of recip. compressors, plate valves, and other types of rotating equipment.
- Experience adopting a robust quality control system.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to work effectively and contribute within a diverse team.
- Highly detail-oriented with excellent organization, time management and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and client management skills.
- Strong customer service and negotiation skills.
- Ability to successfully adapt in fast-growing and changing environments.
- Proficient with Microsoft computer programs and other relevant service platforms.
- Proficient in English.
