Creation Food (CF) is a fast-growing, Canadian-owned and operated company. A family owned and operated organization established in 1995, and running strong. We carry an array of delectable frozen pastries ranging from flaky croissants and mouth watering danishes to specialty puff pastry dough, which is the foundation of our top selling strudels. What separates us from the rest is that we only use the finest ingredients and our dough contains absolutely no additives or active agents.

We are currently recruiting for a HACCP / BRC Co-ordinator on a full-time permanent basis. The role will be based in Woodbridge, Ontario.

**Responsibilities**:
This position is primarily responsible for leading the implementation of CF food safety program, including:

- BRC certification of CF's Woodbridge facility by December 2023
- Finalize CF's standard operating procedures and policies with input from Plant Managers and Director of Operations
- Lead the implementation of BRC-related policies and SOPs
- Oversee training programs for Plant Managers, Operators, Administrators and other facility-based staff on all policies and procedures
- Ensure proper documentation procedures are in place
- Perform internal audit, identify areas of improvement and oversee their implementation prior to third party certification audit
- Prepare for third party certification audit, likely APR 2023
- Work closely with plant staff, third party consultants and certification bodies to ensure BRC certification by Q4 2023
- Develop an SQF program
- Lead CF's efforts to obtain other third-party certification programs, as required, and oversee ongoing compliance
- Work with the Director of Operations and Plant Managers to lead the execution of a food safety culture
- Perform internal food safety audits
- Work closely with regulatory and certification bodies to ensure clear communication and adherence to applicable regulations and standards
- Conduct ongoing food safety training for all plant staff as required

In addition, the position has the following responsibilities:

- Managing CF’s Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) Program, including on-site observations, third-party and internal audits, verification of documents, updates for new products/processes, and completing an annual reassessment to ensure compliance with regulations
- Participating in internal and external quality audits and providing feedback on any issues and recommended corrective actions/preventative measures
- Implementing approved recommended improvements
- Maintaining and updating all food-safety related policies
- Auditing facility processes to make sure that all employees are compliant with CF’s food-safety programs.
- Identifying actual and potential food-safety issues. Conducting incident investigations where food safety or quality may be compromised
- Maintaining accurate documentation and reports in support of CF’s food safety programs
- Acting as a liaison between CF and external regulatory authorities
- Providing analysis for deficient products and giving feedback to the Team
- Responding to customer questions and complaints regarding the quality of products

**Requirements**:

- In depth knowledge of HACCP, BRC, SQF and other third-party food safety certification programs
- Minimum of 5 years of operational experience working in quality assurance and/or HACCP/BRC, ideally in a food processing environment
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree related to Food Safety, Food Science, Biological Sciences, Microbiology or related fields.
- Demonstrated experience leading change at the plant level
- Track record of working effectively with Executive Teams, Plant Managers and operational staff
- Experience working in a food manufacturing environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to make risk-informed decisions under pressure and handle conflicts
- Ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines
- Experience interacting with regulatory agencies
- Ability to relate technical knowledge to solve complex testing and process issues
- High accuracy and attention to detail
- Positive and firm-but-friendly disposition
- Demonstrated ability to accept accountability and to work individually and part as a team
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel if required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office

**Salary**: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
