We are committed to supporting and inspiring our community in the exploration of reading, arts, innovation, and learning.
**What You’ll Do**
Our Youth Services, Team Leaders create a welcoming environment for all members of the public and put their creative skills to the test by planning, organizing and leading various children’s and teen programs.
As a Youth Services, Team Leader, you will:
- Plan, organize and conduct youth services programs
- Train and guide youth services staff on program delivery
- Develop and present at school visits; prepare displays and carry out other special projects
- In consultation with the Branch Manager, develop community partnerships and programming specific to the location
- Provide reference and reader’s advisory services for all ages and develop content for the Kids and Teen Website.
**What You’ll Need to Succeed**
To be qualified for and successful in the role, you should have:
- Two years post-secondary education in a related field is required.
- At least two years’ experience working with children, programming or performance experience, and the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Be someone who is welcoming and works well with people of all ages.
- Experience working in a service environment dealing with the public
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- An inclusive and empathetic approach and a service-oriented mindset
- The ability to follow detailed processes and balance multiple tasks and responsibilities
- A passion for supporting the diverse interests and needs of the Cambridge community

**Pay**: the starting rate of pay is $32.02 per hour
**Hours**: 70 hours bi-weekly
**Schedule**: working various day, evening, and weekend shifts
**Week 1**
Monday 9:30am - 5:30pm
Tuesday 12:30pm - 8:30pm
Wednesday 9:30am - 5:30pm
Thursday 9:30am - 5:30pm
Friday 9:30am - 5:30pm
Saturday 9:30am - 5:30pm
Sunday OFF
**Week 2**
Monday OFF
Tuesday 12:30pm - 8:30pm
Wednesday 9:30am - 5:30pm
Thursday 9:30am - 5:30pm
