**We are seeking a passionate Marketing and Community Relations Coordinator in Whitby, Ontario to join our village.**

**What we need**

Under the direction of the General Manager, with functional reporting responsibilities to the Director of Communications & Marketing at our corporate office, the
**Marketing and Community Relations Coordinator** will be responsible for the planning, execution and success of the holiday kiosk program in their local market and for taking the strategic plan developed by our corporate office and bringing it to life at the operational spa level. This person will be responsible for building partnerships within the community, and for the representation of Thermëa at industry and community events.

**What you’ll do**

**Management**

**The incumbent will manage**:

- All aspects of the holiday sales kiosk program, including logistics, recruitment and coordination of staff and driving sales to meet set targets;
- Partnerships with different likeminded associations and businesses in the local area;
- Sponsorship requests according to corporate strategies and budget;
- An employee volunteer program within the community;
- Timely and on brand responses to all social media accounts such as Trip Advisor, Google, Facebook, and others;
- The communication of social reviews and ratings with department heads;
- Gathering, investigating and summarizing marketing data and trends to identify sales and marketing opportunities;
- Support daily operations as needed;

**Marketing/Communications**

**The incumbent will**:

- Coordinate promotional and media events in collaboration with the corporate marketing team;
- Manage internal events such as photo and video shoots and ensure they run smoothly with the support of the operations team;
- Create social media content in line with corporate strategies;
- Contribute to maintaining the Thermëa spa village brand;
- Be responsible for all on-site signage and promotional material;
- Collaborate with the corporate office on strategies for marketing products, services, packages, events and more;
- Produce event post-mortems and various reports;
- Connect and build relationships and brand within the local community.

**Tourism**

**The incumbent will**:

- Coordinate and greet Familiarization and Media Tours in partnership with tourism agencies;
- Coordinate and greet VIP guests and influencers and ensure their visit is a success;
- Represent Thermëa during local sponsored community events, with different associations or at various networking events;
- Keep up to date with marketing trends and media in the local market, stay connected and seek out opportunities for growth.

**Profile**

**The successful incumbent will have**:

- A college or university degree in management, communications, marketing, media or public relations or another related field;
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in marketing and communications;
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in leading projects, initiatives and/or a team;
- Excellent knowledge of the MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint);
