Nature's Emporium, a leading organic grocery store and we're seeking dynamic individuals to join our team and make a positive impact on the local community.

**Responsibilities & Duties**:

- Assist in the preparation of a variety of delectable dishes, following standardized recipes and guidelines according to Nature's Emporium standards.
- Ensure all food items are prepared and presented with the highest level of quality, taste, and appearance.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs to the appropriate department.
- Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing guidance and answering inquiries about the food offerings.
- Serve customers at the hot table, presenting food options and ensuring an enjoyable dining or take out experience.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the store's products, including ingredients, cooking methods, and dietary restrictions.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and exceptional customer service throughout the store.
- Follow all proper food handling procedures
- Assist the Kitchen Manager and Deli Supervisor in any manner

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Must have previous experience in a kitchen or food based environment
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, including cooking, baking, and food presentation.
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to interact with diverse customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Passion for food and a desire to learn and grow in the culinary field.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Toronto, ON M5J 0B7: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Culinary: 1 year (required)
- Deli: 1 year (preferred)
