Villa Charities Inc. is currently recruiting for an experienced and highly motivated Manager, Culture and Events to join the Cultural and Foundation teams, who will be responsible for managing a robust calendar of cultural programs ,fundraising events (both on-site and virtual), community outreach, cultivating positive relationships with community partners/organizations.

**Key job accountabilities include but are not limited to**:

- Support the Executive Director, Cultural Programming to meet all organizational goals and strategic requirements.
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure successful delivery of culturally appropriate content as it relates to VCI strategic goals.
- Provide support in the growth and retention of the network of artists, performers, instructors, and academics for the purpose of developing a relevant, interesting, and successful programming schedule.
- Develop and manage the calendar of activities (both on-site and virtual), ensuring successful delivery of events.
- Supervise the P/T Cultural Clerk’s assistance for the delivery of events and programs.
- Manage and onboard volunteers to support cultural activities.
- Supervise the yearly programming of the Columbus Centre Music School, the Italian language classes, and the visual arts and culinary arts education programs.
- Maintain a positive rapport with a wide range of cultural community partners.
- Regularly attend selected Cultural Events to ensure on-site supervision and community engagement.
- Assist with Board and Committee Meetings work when requested.
- Assist the ED, Cultural Programming with reporting and as requested.

**Qualifications required**
- At least 3 years of progressive experience in cultural coordination or a related field; or a 2-year college degree in arts and culture and 3 or more years of related experience.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and execute large-scale complex events from start to finish, and achieving targets
- Strong understanding and knowledge of Italian culture, arts and music
- Strong understanding of community requirements and cultural sensitivity.
- Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
- Requires satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check
- Proficiency in Italian and knowledge of the Italian Canadian community is desirable.
