Lafarge Construction is based in Edmonton, AB and is currently seeking a seasonal, full-time Screed Operator**Responsibilities**:
- The accountabilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Fully trained in the operations and capability of the screed on a paver.
- Work as part of a team to operate Paver.
- Performing repair/maintenance on the Paver under the direction of plant foreman or lead hand.
- May require considerable physical activity, must be capable of heavy lifting, bending and twisting
- Assist with a variety of job operations
- Ensure the safety of company personnel, the community, and environment
- Responsible for completing daily equipment checklist
- Monitoring and ensuring accurate thickness of asphalt.
- Monitor material production within specifications
- Ensure consistent feed to maintain a quality product**Qualifications**:
- The successful applicant will possess the following:
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License
- Min 3 years of experience operating a screed
- Knowledge of City of Edmonton Specifications
- Mechanically Inclined
- Knowledge of the City of Edmonton and surrounding area
