Position Overview:
- Facilities Management(FM) is continuously improving to enhance the quality and value of the services it provides to stakeholders. The Project Manager (Facility Asset Management) position is responsible for developing and implementing an integrated Facilities Asset Management Strategy to support FM in aligning service delivery with customer service objectives and corporate strategic goals, supporting that goal of continuous improvement.Are you someone that understands how business drivers, core processes, and organizational services combine to optimize service delivery and drive the Facilities Capital Plan? Asset Management Program Development & Project Management:
- Leads the development, implementation and advancement of the Facilities Asset Management Program, aligned with corporate asset management policies, processes, systems and practices, as well regulatory requirements.
- Leads the development and on-going maintenance of the Facilities Asset Management Plan, ensuring O.Reg 588/17 compliance.
- Leads Facilities Asset Management Program projects, working with consultants, contractors, key stakeholders and FM staff.
- Develops, implements and monitors the FM asset database model, associated system configurations, and business processes that support ongoing facilities asset data management.
- Develops and implements tools and resources for FM staff to facilitate asset inventory collection and integration with business processes and systems.
- Researches and implements best practices and techniques related to monitoring, predictive modelling, analysis, rehabilitation methods and construction techniques for municipal facility infrastructure.
- Provides input to develop best practices for maintenance standards, service level agreements and performance measures.
- Capital Renewal and Planning:
- Creates long-term asset management plans for specific facilities; and strategies for overall management of City owned building and site assets. Provides recommendations for project priorities, estimates and budgets.
- Collaborates with staff and stakeholders, and uses data analysis outputs, to develop annual work plans, and identify strategic and business plan priorities.
- Leads the development and execution of the Facilities BCA Program
- Forecasts capital requirements using standard costing methods, maintenance history, and parametric modelling.
- Provides key analysis and information to inform business case development and/or grant funding opportunities.

**Requirements**:
- 3-year degree or diploma in a related field (e.g., Building Science, Asset Management or Information Technology).
- 4-7 years of related experience.
- Knowledge of asset management program planning and implementation, facility lifecycle costing and planning.
- Thorough knowledge of related legislation, policies and codes (e.g. O.Reg 588/17, Ontario Building Code; Fire Code; Technical Standards and Safety Authority; Electrical Standards Authority, etc.).
- Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), decision support systems (DSS) and associated report writing tools.
- Formal project management training and demonstrated project management skills with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders and colleagues, build trusting relationships and foster effective decisions.
