**Job Summary**
The Finance & Administration Manager contributes to the overall success of the organization by effectively managing all financial tasks for the organization The Finance & Administration Manager plays a critical role in partnering with the senior leadership team in strategic decision making and operations as Connexus continues to enhance its quality programming and capacity building.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Finance Bachelor’s Degree or a Business degree with a concentration in finance. Preference is given to Professional Accounting Designation
- At least two years of overall professional experience; ideally broad financial and operations management experience in not-for-profit or charitable sector
- Financial management experience including payroll functions with a demonstrated working knowledge of computerized accounting programs, budgeting processes, correct financial accounting documentation and files (in accordance with GAAP), specific community-based programs and services, and applicable legislation and policies
- Must be competent in word processing and the use of word, excel, access and internet banking and be familiar with a computerized payroll and accounting programs, specifically Simply Accounting and ComVida.

**Required**:

- Valid class 5 driver’s license & satisfactory drivers abstract
- Criminal Record Check clearance

**We are looking for someone who**:
**Internal Control & Risk Management**
- Develops and monitors risk management plans
- Develops, implements and monitors compliance to internal financial and administrative controls to ensure that the organization is protected from risk
- Ensures all statutory and government remittances requirements of the organization are met

**Financial Budgets & Reports**
- Develops the annual Program and Society budgets for the review and approval of the Executive Director and board of directors
- Ensures input is provided by Managers in the development of financial budgets and monthly financial narrative reports
- Provides monthly financial and other financial performance reports to the Executive Director, Managers,

**Finance committee and financial reports to all funders as required**
- Trains, supports, monitors and evaluates the ability of the Managers to manage budgets and reports any concerns to the Executive Director
- Coordinates and oversees the annual financial audit

**Financial Management**
- Maintains accurate and complete reporting systems, in accordance with GAAP, for all Society financial initiatives
- Oversees accounts payable, accounts receivable and capital asset purchasing
- Manage investments and reserves
- Monitors the cash position of the organization including the monthly bank and petty cash reconciliations and reconciles general ledger accounts as appropriate and required
- Negotiates with Bank for lines of credit or other financial services as required

**HR/Finance**
- Oversees all payroll function to ensure employees are paid in a timely and accurate manner and in line with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement.
- Oversees the administration of all staff health benefits and retirement plan
- Manage the maintenance and upgrade of computerized financial, payroll and HRIS systems.
- Provides leadership, direction and performance management to Finance and Administration staff of three
- Participates in recruiting and hiring for the administrative support positions.
- Provide advice and assistance on human resource planning and management issues

**Administration**
- Ensures effective record keeping of all finances, contracts, leases and agreements

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $87,777.00-$100,156.00 per year
