Order Desk and Accounting Assistant

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, bookkeeper & office support team player for medium sized printing company.
Experience is preferred, but some training will be provided. There are significant opportunities for advancement.
You will be an integral part of a small office environment, working closely with a dedicated team on all aspects of day-to-day office operations. Reporting directly to management, you must be a flexible, hard-working individual who is eager to learn and takes pride in completing a task while remaining adaptable to many competing priorities in our busy office.
Duties include:
- Receive and manage purchase orders from start to finish
- Enter POs into company database, obtain samples and check if there are supplies/raw materials in stock, -Contact customers and suppliers.
- Enter accounts payable invoices into Quickbooks and generate cheques
- There is the opportunity take on additional accounting functions upon demonstrating competency, e.g. payroll and bank reconciliations, up to and including the preparation of financial statements.
The aim of this role is to support the existing accounts department in all day to day, month-end and year-end tasks with a view to taking on more responsibility as your skill set develops. Pay: From $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
