We have a strong track record in the North American food service industry and are currently seeking experienced Warehouse Manager to manage our facilities, including 40,000 square feet of warehouse and cold storage.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage warehouse operations & facilities maintenance
- Manage administration of material/product requests
- Manage tradespeople and contractors
- Manage product transfers
- Manage physical inventory activities
- Organize fresh deliveries and airport pickups
- Maximize warehouse operational efficiency: track costs, analyze trends, etc.
- Effectively manage customer and supplier relationships
- Respond to warehouse issues and emergencies after hours
- Work with HR to manage hiring & training of warehouse staff
- Manage performance evaluation process for warehouse employees
- Adhere to all food quality policies
- Conduct daily workplace safety inspections & maintain a safe working environment
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Post-secondary education in a related discipline
- 8 years warehouse experience (2-3 years at the management level), preferably within a food or consumer packaged goods environment
- 3 years’ reach, ride-on, and forklift experience
- Valid lift truck licenses (asset)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong relationship
- and team-building skills
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to multi-task and work within a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- WHMIS-trained
- Able to lift 50 - 100 lb.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Valid first aid certification
- English proficiency
- ACCPAC experience is an asset
