GHD has a great opportunity for a **Environmental Geoscientist **, **Engineer **or **Scientist **in a **Project Manager, Environmental **role, with a specialization in contaminated sites management to support our Ontario team. Our hiring team, **based in Waterloo **specializes in environmental assessments, excess soil management, risk assessments, risk management planning and implementation, and remedial design and implementation for public and private sector clients across Canada and the United States.

**Responsibilities**:

- Support strategic pursuits and business development
- Provide leadership and mentorship to your team and beyond
- Work in cooperation with multi-disciplinary project teams across regions and countries to support and provide environmental advice and strategy for the completion of large, complex projects with a focus on Health & Safety
- Remain current on standard methodologies for innovative remediation approaches
- Manage client accounts, including client relationship, resourcing, and project life cycle from work plan development to completion with attention to communication, budgets, timelines, quality, invoicing
- Complete reviews of technical reports and prepare technical documents, including work plans, reports, correspondence, and proposals
- Opportunity to work on local, national, and global projects, which may at times entail supporting other GHD office locations requiring some travel

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- 5 or more years of demonstrated ability with developing and implementing strategies for complex remediation and/or risk management
- Experience in the technical delivery of investigations, management plans, environmental remediation projects
- B.Sc. or B.A.Sc. in Geoscience, Environmental Science, Civil/Environmental Engineering, Science, or equivalent education
- P.Eng. or P.Geo. designation (alternative designations will be considered with experience)
- Proven track record with building positive trusted client and regulator relationships and project delivery and providing innovative solutions
- Outstanding communication and technical writing ability with exceptional prioritization and attention to detail
- Strong understanding of Canadian environmental legislation
- Experience on Superfund and /or RCRA Corrective Action sites considered an asset
- Experience working on Canadian Federal projects and local market network - client development/account management is considered a strong asset
- Experience with emerging contaminants, including PFAS, and an understanding of US environmental legislation is considered an asset
