**What You Will Do**
- As a Paramedic, you will enhance the quality of life for individuals and diverse communities living with, at-risk for or affected by the challenges associated with HIV/AIDS and HCV.
- Working within a multi-disciplinary team, you will support and monitor people who use pre-obtained substances as well as assess and respond to adverse reactions and overdose events.
- Embracing a harm reduction approach, you will educate individuals about safe injection and overdose prevention and perform minor medical assessments and first aid.

**What You Will Bring**
- A strong ability to build rapport with participants and engage with and relate to culturally, linguistically, ethnically, spiritually, racially, and geographically diverse communities.
- Demonstrated work experience in responding to critical and urgent healthcare situations.
- A strong knowledge of community resources and social service agencies in London with the ability to identify and understand intersectional factors that impact the health and wellbeing of diverse communities of people.
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills and strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to deliver effective conflict resolution and crisis intervention techniques.
- A paramedic diploma and proof of successful completion of the Advanced Emergency Medical Care Assistant (AEMCA or AEMCA - pending) Theory Examination required.
- First Aid & CPR, BLS, CPI training considered an asset.
- A satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC).
