We are seeking an experienced Asphalt Lead Hand to join our team. As the Asphalt Lead Hand, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our asphalt paving projects. You will be responsible for managing a crew of asphalt workers and ensuring that projects are completed on time, on budget, and to our high standards of quality.

**Responsibilities**:

- Supervise a crew of asphalt workers, ensuring that everyone is working safely and efficiently
- Coordinate with project managers to plan and schedule projects
- Read and interpret blueprints and specifications
- Operate equipment and tools necessary for asphalt paving
- Ensure that projects are completed on time and to our high standards of quality
- Train new crew members and oversee their work
- Complete paperwork and documentation as necessary

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in asphalt paving
- Proven leadership skills and ability to manage a crew
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
- Experience operating equipment and tools necessary for asphalt paving
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

**Salary**: $23.00-$30.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

- Bonus pay
- Signing bonus

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Ottawa, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Paving: 3 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Class G Licence (required)

Work Location: In person
