Position Overview:
- SGRE are seeking an experienced EHS Advisor with extensive knowledge of Wind Turbine construction to support the safe execution of our upcoming Offshore Wind Farm Projects off the US East Coast.- You will proactively support the site management team by providing leadership, demonstrating and promoting responsible attitudes towards EHS, implementing best practice with regards to EHS standards and contributing towards the delivery of the overall business EHS strategy.- The EHS Advisor will coordinate with SGRE internal workforce and external contractors to ensure that a suitable and sufficient Safe system of work is in place prior to works being undertaken and liaise with site supervisors to monitor that this is adhered to during the execution of works.- The EHS Advisor ensures that SGRE and their contractors comply with Environmental, Health and Safety Legislation, SGRE standards, Customer and Site requirements.- Relocation will not be offered for this role.

Responsibilities:
- Support the SGRE site management team to discharge their duties in line with SGRE procedures and local legal regulations- Monitor site emergency preparedness readiness- Monitor that SGRE and contractors practice effective pre-job planning- Engage with, and promote the use of Enablon as a reporting tool for safety observations and proactive inspections- Monitor that safety observation reports are followed up, in conjunction with site management colleagues where appropriate, ensuring proportionate investigation of each occurrence is completed and corrective/preventative actions are effectively implemented where applicable.- Coordinate with action owners to achieve timely close out of CAPAs- Carry out analysis of safety observations, actioning any identified trends through awareness schemes or other appropriate actions.- Participate in planning/coordination meetings to ensure works are safely interfaced with other operations on the site- Communicate EHS focus topics from within the general SGRE business to all stakeholders on the worksite- Perform frequent site safety walks and formalized inspections- Communicate and collaborate with technical functions and other EHS team members across the business to share learning and develop best practice.- Participate in EHS audits and assessments, both internal and external

Required Knowledge, Education, Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in EHS or an Engineering discipline- OSHA 30hr certification- 5 Years’ experience in an EHS role in the Wind Turbine Construction/maintenance industry- Ability to work as part of a cross-functional team- Fluency in English language- High motivation level; self-starter with excellent leadership and communication skills- High capability with various office and cloud-based software- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills- This position is field-based and will encompass rotational shifts- The role will require applicants to be fit to work Offshore- Applicants must be comfortable with working at height- Qualified applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States- Qualified applicants will not require employer-sponsored work authorization now or in the future for employment in the United States- Eligibility for TWIC Card

Mid-Senior

Preferred Knowledge, Education, Experience and Skills:
- ASP (Associate Safety Professional) CSP (Certified Safety Professional), CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technologist) etc.- GWO Training Package- 3 years’ experience in incident case management. Experience in TapRooT RCA method an advantage- Bi-lingual a plus (Spanish) but not required to obtain this position
