**Job Overview**:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented paralegal intern to join our legal team. As a paralegal intern, you will assist the senior Counsel in various legal matters. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Paralegal Studies graduate or intern, and someone with limited legal experience to gain valuable hands-on experience in a fast-paced legal environment. Your responsibilities as an intern may vary depending on the needs of the law practice. Some paralegal interns work on administrative or secretarial tasks in the office. You may spend time organizing or filing legal documents. You may perform research, prepare legal documents, or communicate and obtain information from clients.
- Opening & closing of client files in accordance with LSO guidelines;
- Draft documents as needed
- Maintain current Court procedures and timeline (deadlines)
- In-person and electronic Court filing
- Assist in trials, hearings and mediations as needed by Senior Counsel
- Act as a liaison with clients, opposing Counsel, and necessary third party
- Photocopying, binding, printing of documents as required
- Managing physical, electronic client files
- Ukeep on all current and active client files
- Assist by answering phone calls and fulfilling other administrative duties

**Qualifications**:

- Paralegal diploma or certificate (can also be in the course of obtaining one) o
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Highly organized, attentive to detail and has the ability to prioritize efficiently
- Strong time management and multi-tasking skills and ability to work under pressure to meet important deadlines
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision and in a team environment
- Proficient in MS Office, Outlook, Adobe (experience with Cosmolex is an asset)

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
