Job Title: Pasty Chef / Baker

Location: Upper Canada Mall. Newmarket, Ontario.

We are seeking a skilled and creative individual to join our team as a Pastry Chef / Baker and Cake Decorator. As a critical member of our café/bakery, you will be responsible for producing high-quality baked goods and creating visually appealing and delicious cakes for our customers.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and bake a variety of patisserie, cupcakes, cakes, scones, cookies, croissants, and other baked goods according to established recipes and production schedules.
- Decorate and design custom cakes for various occasions such as weddings, birthdays, and special events
- Ensure that all products meet our high standards for taste, appearance, and quality
- Manage inventory of baking ingredients and supplies and place orders as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage and labeling of all ingredients
- Provide excellent customer service and assist with customer inquiries and special orders
- Stay updated on industry trends and new techniques for baking and cake decorating

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a baker, cake decorator, and/or Pastry Chef in a professional bakery setting
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment
- Creativity and artistic ability to design and decorate cakes with various themes and styles
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Food Handler Certificate

Pay: $16.55-$25.00 per hour
