**IT Support Analyst**:
**Description of Duties**
Reporting to the Technical Support Coordinator (located at Luther College High School) and under the general supervision of the Director of Finance, the IT Support Analyst is responsible for the efficient operation of technical systems necessary for building and occupant safety, security, and communications. This position is located at the Luther College, University of Regina campus.
**Responsibilities**
- Coordinate with the University of Regina (U of R) Information Services the design, pricing, purchase, installation, support, and troubleshooting desktop computer system hardware and software for faculty and staff, the library, classroom podiums, and other public area computers.
- Coordinate with the University of Regina Information Services the design, pricing, purchase, installation, support, and troubleshooting audio-visual (A/V) equipment in classrooms, the library, and meeting rooms. Provide on demand support/training to A/V users.
- With the Manager of Physical Plant, resolve issues of security and safety by maintaining Alertus system as liaison with U of R. This includes installing Alertus software on desktops and maintaining network infrastructure to Alertus beacons installed in the residence and academic buildings. This includes the Schlage server door security network infrastructure, server maintenance and backup user.
- Design, purchasing materials, supplies and equipment required for maintaining IT/AV services as required.
- Maintain and enhance the classroom and conference meeting room booking database systems.
- Manage and maintain the infrastructure for Cafeteria Point of Sale (POS) system. Point of contact for other software such as Financial Edge and Raiser’s Edge hosted services account requests.
- Assist faculty who require specialized server support for their research programs.
- Develop and manage the IT component of the Physical Plant budgets.
- Manage internet WIFI and LAN support to the residence network through liaison with U of R networking. This includes maintenance of networking hardware for five hubs in the residence building and three in the academic building.
- Ensure technical and user documentation is developed and maintained for all systems.
- Manage and maintain licensing agreements with software vendors as required.
- Act as liaison with U of R Print Services to manage print users and maintain printing devices at Luther College and Luther Library.
- Act as liaison with U of R server management team for Luther data server.
- Coordinate IT support needed for special events held in the building. This could include assisting with special furniture or AV equipment set-up or removal.
- Participate in non-IT physical plant committees as required, and other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**
- Minimum of Computer Systems Technology Diploma and one year of experience managing the IT function of a public facility. A relevant combination of education and experience will be considered.
- A strong working knowledge of MS 365 is essential.
- Demonstrated skills in customer service when working with clients who may or may not have an IT background. Preference given to previous employment in a school, educational organization, or a help-desk environment.
- Demonstrated skills in maintaining a budget.
- A demonstrated commitment to employee health and safety practices and procedures is required.
- A proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team is required.
- Physical fitness including the ability to periodically lift moderately heavy loads (up to 22.5 kg) in a safe manner.
- Affinity with the goals of Luther College and the small college environment in which flexibility, warmth, and cordiality are necessary and valued.
**Association**
- Maintains working relationships with all operational areas of the College including the Technical Support Coordiantor, the Dean, Director of Finance, Manager of Food Services, Residence Services Coordinator, Library Coordinator, faculty, and staff.
- Liaison with the Luther College High School IT team.
- Is routinely in contact with students and external users of College facilities.
- Other external contacts include contracted trades, suppliers, IT staff from the University of Regina and the public.
**Working Conditions**
- This is a full-time position (40 hours per week). Hours of work are normally from 7:15 am to 3:45 pm daily, however from time-to-time there can be College events, special projects or emergencies that will result in irregular or extended hours for which overtime pay or time in lieu is received.
- The work is performed in an environment normally associated with the maintenance and repair of a classroom building, cafeteria, and residence complex. Attention to safety procedures and practices associated with these environments is required.
**Salary and Benefits**
The salary range for this position is $49,587.20 - $66,976.00 annually.
