Cross-border Short-haul Class 1/az Driver

Mississauga, Canada Bison Transport Full time

This Canada/Midwest U.S. schedule is running 5 days out and averages 2,500 to 3,000 miles per week.
- Depart the Greater Toronto Area on Wednesday at 0800 to deliver in Sault Ste Marie
- Depart Sault Ste Marie to the Midwest U.S. (primarily Michigan and Wisconsin)
- Reload and return to Ontario
- Will next complete another Sault Ste Marie to Midwest U.S. to Mississauga triangle or a load to the Midwest U.S. and return to Mississauga
- The Midwest U.S. areas include Wisconsin, Illinois, Ohio, Iowa, Minnesota, Michigan, North Dakota, South Dakota, Kansas, Oklahoma, Indiana, Nebraska, and Arkansas
- A northern Ontario pay premium applies
- Additional work might be available, dependent on freight and hours of service
- Company Driver with tractor-trailer experience
- Must be U.S. qualified
- Must be able to drive Highway 17 in Ontario 12 months of the year
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more
- Must have a valid Class 1/AZ license
- Reliable, flexible, and punctual
- Strong communication skills
- Values safety
