**Position Overview**:
This position requires the instructor to teach students about Hospitality Management principles and skills using a systematic plan of lectures, demonstrations, discussion groups and independent or group projects.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop learning materials that support the learning objectives and planned activities
- Instruct Hospitality classes by using a variety of teaching strategies and student assessment methods.
- Demonstrate flexibility in meeting the college’s and students’ changing requirements as conditions may require over time
- Follow the procedures of the registration office, including progress reports, attendance records, quizzes and exams records, class time and room scheduling.
- Serve as a learning coach, providing intentional support for student growth and career aspirations.
- Enhance our students' experience by supporting campus administrative functions and actively participating in programmed activities.
- Uphold our professional standards and code of ethics, serving as a role model for students and colleagues alike

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelors degree or post-graduation in Hospitality Management, or Tourism and Travel or Business Management with 2 - 5 years of full-time experience in the hospitality management position.
- At least 1 year of teaching experience with the British Columbia Ministry of Education curriculum.
- Fluency in English with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Comprehensive skills in the use of common workplace software including on-line teaching techniques_**. **_
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and independently when necessary.

Pay: $30.00-$33.00 per hour

Expected hours: 22 per week
