**THE POSITION**:
Reporting to the Director of Instruction (Inclusive Education), the District Food Program Manager ensures a coordinated approach to improving school food services and obtains information on school food programs and their effectiveness. This position will provide a single point of contact for food service staff, administrators, and partners through which to coordinate any food-related initiatives.

**TYPICAL DUTIES**:
Work with provincial and regional partners on improving the use and access of Federal and Provincial nutrition and food programs.

Collaborate with school administration on school food and nutrition guidance and policies.

Oversee and develop the day-to-day operations of the District School Food Program

Manage several budgets within the program.

Seek additional funding and grant opportunities for the District/School Food programs.

Review current Food Program operations and provide support to enhance outcomes.

Provide updates to the School District and Funding Organizations with quantitative and qualitative information.

Manage the logistics of possible food deliveries to schools within the District (Burns Lake, Granisle, Fort St. James, Fraser Lake & Vanderhoof).

Work cooperatively and collaboratively to create teamwork opportunities.

Build relationships and partnerships with various internal and external partners to support growth and program development.

Develop presentations, summaries, and materials for District communication.

ACADEMIC/WORK EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills.

Ability to initiate change and carry out plans to completion.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Budget management.

Valid Class 5 driver’s license.

Position requires bending, kneeling and the capability to lift 40 lbs.

Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and videoconferencing platforms.

**COMPENSATION**:
Current salary grid is $68,655 - $85,818.
