We currently have an opening in our Port Coquitlman branch for an Industrial Shop Service Technician. Under the direction of the Service Supervisor, you will provide service, repair, maintenance, installation and trouble-shooting of bulk plant and truck equipment to the petroleum and propane industries.

**Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:

- Prepare work orders and other necessary paperwork and documentation according company and customer requirements.
- Accountable for maintaining service parts inventories in the assigned service van.
- Repair, maintain, install and trouble-shoot problems with customer mechanical and electronic equipment (F1 Dispenesers, F5 Refueler and Truck Meters).
- Maintaining a clean driving record and producing a drivers’ abstract upon request.
- Meet Company, Customer and Legislative safety standards (i.e. personal protective equipment, equipment/material handling, etc.)
- Exercise duty in repair, calibrate service equipment & follow instructions on work orders.
- Do service calls for in-town.
- Out of town travel a requirement
- Have a positive and enthusiastic attitude
- Be weights and measures certified.
- Be mechanically inclined with electronic experience.
- Be able to troubleshoot and calibrate both mechanical and electronic equipment.
- Be able to produce calibration reports and final inspection papers.
- Have a clean driving record.
- Be able to provide references.
- Be prompt, pleasant, with a positive attitude and ability to follow instructions.
- Work well with others in a team work environment.
- Have the ability to work independently and think under pressure.
- Have strong communication skills - ability to provide excellent customer service and communicate well with all internal and external clients.

**Qualifications**:

- College Diploma, preferably in an electronics or mechanical discipline (or equivalent work experience)
- Weights & Measures Certified Volumetric Inspector
- Strong aptitude for electronic, mechanical and computer systems.
- Hands-on experience or strong familiarity with Petroleum Handling Equipment.
- Excellent communication ability, time management and organizational skills.
- An interest and motivation for building relationships with customers, utilizing outstanding interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to work in a demanding environment, and enjoy learning new concepts and products.
- Strong problem-solving ability, particularly relevant in managing customer concerns.
- First Aid and WHMIS would be an asset.
