Sales & Marketing Representative

Alliance Seed is looking for a Sales & Marketing Representative to join our team for a 12 month contract position. Reporting directly to the General Manager and working with the entire Alliance Seed team, the Sales & Marketing Representative will be responsible for execution of the Alliance Seed sales strategy along with providing marketing support to sales strategy. The ability to build relationships and provide exceptional customer service to the existing Alliance Seed retail network as well as potential retails are essential elements required for the position.
**Responsibilities**:
**Sales**
- Executing the seed sales strategy for the Alliance Seed portfolio of products in western Canada.
- Maintain effective working relationships with Alliance Seed retail network to meet Alliance Seed targets.
- Act as a champion of Alliance Seed by supporting and coaching the Alliance Seed retail network in their sales plans and efforts.
**Marketing**
- Work with the General Manager to develop and execute the Alliance Seed Marketing Strategy.
- Oversee social media accounts to remain active, relevant and establish positive public relations.
- Regularly collect and report market intelligence and relevant value chain insights.
**Other**
- Be a strong contributing team member of Alliance Seed.
- And all other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture / Commerce / Sales and Marketing, or equivalent experience.
- Strong aptitude for developing and maintaining business relationships.
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong Agronomic knowledge of cereals & pulse seed, including familiarity with Midge Tolerant wheat and the Variety Use Agreement are an asset.
- Must be detail oriented with a strong sense of urgency and a high energy level.
- Ability to analyze relevant data and industry trends.
**Location/Travel**:
- This position is home-office based and requires frequent travel within the territory with occasional travel outside of the territory.
