**Job Title**:Accounting Clerk

**Summary/objective**:Reporting directly to the Controller, The Accounting Clerk will contribute to the team's success by receiving, collecting, and processing timely payments from our customers. Attention to detail is critical to ensure that correct payments are submitted and accounts are not over-extended based on their credit limits. This role is also responsible for month end accounting entries and account reconciliations, as well as entering hourly payroll into ADP for timely & accurate payment to all hourly employees.

**Hours of work**:Full-time, 40hrs per week with flexibility for remote work on occasion with approval.

**Supervisory Responsibilities**:N/A

**Primary Duties**:

- Performing all accounts receivable functions for the company.
- Processing hourly payroll for all branches.
- Completing secondary review of payroll for all branches.
- Everyday banking activities such as setting up payments and updating banking spreadsheet.
- Managing & completing ISO registration requirements as needed.
- Follow all safety rules, report unsafe work practices or conditions, and promote occupational health & safety.
- Prepare & post month end journal entries
- Prepare month end account reconciliations
- Assist with financial audit
- Prepare monthly remittances - HST, WCB, union dues
- Assist Controller with other tasks as needed

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $39,500.00-$42,000.00 per year

- Accounting: 1 year (preferred)
