**Job Summary**
As a member of the R&D Team, the R&D Production Assistant is responsible for production of Lepzi assay reagents and assay components, also involves performing inspection and testing procedures to support product release and investigation of nonconforming materials. Also, this position is responsible for inventory control, including supply stock monitoring and inventory transfers. This position reports to the R&D Production Associate Manager and/or R&D Manager.
**Responsibilities**
- Executes production and inspection procedures for manufacturing of reagents, materials, and components for Lepzi assay platform.
- Execute pre-approved protocols to validate Standard Test Method (STM) procedures for raw materials, in-process, and finished products.
- Supports the production of experimental product batches in accordance with R&D requirements.
- Operates lab equipment/instruments and performs maintenance procedures.
- Performs sampling and inspection as per standard procedures to assess performance of different production batches against specifications. Collates, analyzes, and reports data.
- Perform sampling, inspection, and testing of raw materials, in-process, and finished products to support their release to inventory. Investigate nonconformities originating from product failures identified internally and externally.
- Presents data to production team meetings and to project focus groups.
- Participates in investigation and troubleshooting activities to identify areas for improvements.
- Reviews inventory stocks for manufacturing reagents to facilitate planning and executions of production plan.
- Follows the procedures for working in a regulated environment under the guidelines set by the Company to assure adherence to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Design Control and Worker's Safety.
- Maintains appropriate manufacturing documentation, laboratory records, and other documentation.
- Supports the preparation of documentation, including standard operation procedures, manufacturing records, work instructions, etc.
- Performs general laboratory tasks such as organization of work area, laboratory clean up, inventory count, equipment maintenance and calibration, etc.
- Performs other duties or assumes additional responsibilities as required.
**Qualifications and Skills**
- Technical degree or equivalent training in Biological Sciences/Biotechnology or relevant Bachelor’s Degree.
- Understands the scientific basis of biology, biochemistry, and/or chemistry.
- Experience working under GLP and/or GMP.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills.
- Effectively collaborates with team members.
- Attention to details.
- Flexible and adaptable to take on additional responsibilities as appropriate.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced production environment is an asset.
**Salary**: $38,000.00-$42,000.00 per year
