**What you will do**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Establish strong working relationships with management teams in the Exertis Jam Canada divisions and with DCC and Exertis Group international teams in Ireland, the UK, China and beyond including Legal and Compliance, Quality and Sourcing.
- Enhance and embed an overall culture and awareness of the relevance and importance of good Governance and Compliance across all teams.
- Proactively engage with key stakeholders to ensure Compliance checks and protections are built into business initiatives at the outset ‘by design’.
- Coordinate commercial contracts management review, approval and signature process with factories and vendors. Support review and amendment of standard form trading terms and compliance certifications such as export controls end use certificates, anti-bribery and anti-slavery certifications, data privacy notices with third parties ensuring adherence to Exertis Jam commercial and Compliance risk tolerance policies.
- Assist with internal assurance and monitoring of Exertis Jam businesses and support with preparation, field work and timely completion of management actions arising from audits by DCC Group Internal Audit, external auditors as well regulator and enforcement authority audits and inspections.
- Identify and implement controls improvements, learnings and training needs from risk assessment, monitoring outcomes, audit findings and incident root cause analysis.
- Proactively monitor the overall risk profile of the Exertis Jam businesses to identify emerging risks occasioned by new regulations, enforcement developments, new planned business models and/or geographies and manage risks, issues and opportunities for improvements within the design and operation of the Compliance controls framework.
- Regulatory horizon scanning for new and changes to existing rules end enforcement approach of competent regulators, which impact the business, including local and international competition and anti-trust, consumer, data protection, product safety, customs, export controls, and financial sanctions authorities.
- Maintain and enhance the internal Legal and Compliance program for the Exertis Jam group of companies to:

- Ensure that Compliance standards and controls requirements and outcomes are integrated into key business processes, including but not limited to project management, program change delivery and operational change processes.
- Establish and maintain an up-to-date library of Exertis Jam polices, procedures, toolkits, advisories, and training on the Legal and Compliance program.
- In conjunction with the HR Director manage and oversee completion metrics and reporting on all mandatory DCC and Exertis Compliance training program to ensure all management and employees in relevant roles receive relevant Compliance training.
- Maintain and deliver clear and concise tracking, reporting and insight on the status of Compliance, including status of implementation and embedding of controls to manage risks against the Exertis Jam Annual Compliance Plan and current issues as they arise in the reporting period, the monthly MD Report on Governance and Compliance metrics and KPIs and the bi-annual DCC Compliance Questionnaire including disputes and litigation report.
- In conjonction with Logistics provide advice and guidance on risk assessments and determinations on third parties (including factories, vendors, customers, distributors) and products (own brand and third party branded) that are manufactured, purchased, sold, transacted, and shipped.
- In conjonction with Logistics, provide advice and guidance on escalated due diligence findings including red flag and false positive resolution and the conduct of further detailed due diligence in complex third-party risk assessment and screening matters.
- Serve as central administrator for third party due diligence systems and screening platform providers (such as Kroll and Descartes Visual Compliance), including license and user access management, arrangement of training for new users and undertaking periodic records quality control audits and generation and inspection of management and exception reporting for assurance, trends analysis and investigations purposes.

**What we are looking for**:

- Minimum five (5) years of compliance, finance, quality assurance, investigations, audit or legal experience
- Excellent English and French language communication skills
