The Digital Business Operations Project Delivery Team is a high-performing, flexible team that operates at the intersection of the business, technology, product, and delivery accountable for the planning of technology projects for the whole Bank. The team is accountable for the successful management of projects that Technology has committed to deliver.

The Head of Project Delivery sets the priorities and develops and leads the execution strategy for 2 year project delivery roadmaps for technology projects, guided by functional/business unit strategies and priorities.

**Is this role right for you?**
- Develops, articulates and manages a rolling 2 year project delivery roadmaps by business line, incorporating milestones, objectives and outcomes that maintain operations and future changes
- Establishes strategic and tactical direction of the seamless delivery of all technology projects
- Has oversight over multiple cross-functional teams and utilizes depth of experience in leading multiple Project Directors and influencing trade-off decisions to optimize business outcomes
- Negotiates and provides authoritative advice to senior leaders and major stakeholders on matters of material impact to business lines and Technology project delivery and the execution of the project delivery roadmaps
- Connects business line and Technology ideas and concepts into an effective project delivery practice for technology project delivery teams, and determines which intangible and tangible variables are critical
- Looks beyond existing project delivery methodologies to resolve complex problems, reviews and provides recommendations on matters falling outside of standard policy; opines on highly critical and sensitive items
- Provides innovative approaches to problem solving, leveraging professional insights to structure and implement senior leader decision-making relating to unique issues impacting the enterprise
- Understands how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Consistently ‘does the right thing’ to keep the Bank safe and fosters a culture where their team can speak up / raise concerns, by listening and responding in a timely manner
- Builds a high performance environment and implement a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates portfolio teams by fostering an inclusive work environment and using a coaching mindset and behaviors; communicating vision/values/portfolio strategy; and, managing succession and development planning for the teams
- Create an environment in which portfolio teams pursue effective and efficient operations in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk

**Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?**
- Demonstrated senior level experience in managing large-scale project and portfolio management organizations, in highly complex organizations
- Significant experience with leading high-performing teams, as well as experience with project and program planning & delivery models and methodologies
- Significant experience with expectations management, change management and operational transformation programs
