**Position Summary**:
As FNHA is transforming organizationally to deliver health care services to Indigenous Communities throughout the province of BC, we are looking for a Regional Manager, Mental Health & Wellness to support in the transformation and regionalization plans which focus on enhancing mental health and wellness outcomes through targeted service improvements.

In this role, you will manage and oversee the Vancouver Coastal Region’s planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and quality control of the Regional Mental Health and Wellness programs and services. These include cross continuum mental health and wellness services, including trauma-informed practice, outreach and crisis response services. You will effectively prioritize optimizing the mental health and wellness service experiences of First Nations and Aboriginal individuals and families, thereby impacting overall mental health and wellness services for the community population.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Work collaboratively and respectfully with First Nations and Aboriginal partners, FNHA Mental Wellness Team, and Regional Team to ensure that mental health and wellness programs and services are community-driven and reflective of local needs and priorities
2. Manage the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of community based crisis intervention and mental health and wellness programs and services.
4. Engage and align work of the mental health and wellness team with the existing mental health communities of practice across FNHA and multiple organizations and partners
5. Provide clinical oversight to services delivered directly by Regional Team, including the provision of clinical guidance, support and advice to mental health and wellness employees to ensure high quality services and practices
6. Develop, maintain and report on strategic and operational plans and activities
7. Lead meetings and discussions with internal staff and key stakeholders within RegionalHealth, (i.e. public and mental health department), to review and ensure alignment of work plans and health and wellness related programs
8. Facilitate the development of mental health crisis emergency response protocols in the Regions, the provision of services in crises situations and all associated preparatory requirements.
9. Promote overall wellness practices in collaboration with other members of the Mental Wellness team regarding crisis response teams, ensures client confidentiality and privacy in accordance with professional regulatory guidelines and follows standards of practice and legal requirements

**Qualifications**:

- Education- Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, public health, health sciences, social work (or a related degree), plus 8 years related experience, including that in a previous leadership role, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience in a clinical setting
- Master’s Degree is an asset.
- Experience- Recent experience within the last 5 years in mental health programs and planning (usually acquired after a minimum of 8 years of experience)
- Significant, recent and relevant experience working within BC’s health care system (usually acquired after a minimum of 8 years of experience)
- Demonstrated experience responding to mental health emergencies and trauma informed practice
- Demonstrated experience working with First Nations and Aboriginal community members and organizations
- Demonstrated experience providing advice and recommendations regarding mental wellness to practitioners and clients
- Demonstrated experience working in the field of mental health and wellness development
- Completion of the Indigenous Cultural Competency course or equivalent education is desirable
