Aldergrove, Canada Pointblank Installations Inc Full time

**Main functions**:
Working in the Aldergrove yard, the Shipper/Receiver works towards the completion of load lists for the Installation crew by using several tools and machinery. While also maintaining a clean and safe yard. Under the direction of their supervisor.

**Reports to**:
Install Foreman

**Duties**:
The Shipper/Receiver performs the following duties:

- Load, unload tools, prepare building site materials stack building materials and set up equipment.
- Consult with construction plans and load lists.
- Use construction and maintenance tools and equipment to complete daily tasks.
- Follow all occupational health and safety regulations while operating heavy machinery, equipment, and tools.
- Ensure regulated and proper personal protective equipment, including headgear (i.e., hardhat), earplugs, gloves, safety glasses/goggles, footwear (i.e., steel-toed boots) and clothing (i.e., high-vis vest/jacket) are worn when necessary.
- Complete all assigned tasks in a timely, efficient, and safe manner.
- Safely operate a variety of tools, including pressure washers, air tools, drills, saws, and grinders.
- Safely operate a variety of machinery, including forklift (if certified), ditch-witch.
- Provide assistance to contractors (i.e., craft workers, electricians, painters) as needed.
- Climb to heights and conduct work with proper safety restraints (if certified).
- Safely clean and clear debris and hazardous materials.
- Ensure construction equipment, machines and tools are cleaned, safe, in working order and stored properly (including Pointblank Installations trucks and trailers).
- Inform superiors and take necessary actions to correct, if equipment, machines, or tools are not safe or in working order.
- Order any necessary materials needed to complete any jobs.
- Maintain a clean and safe yard, tent, and warehouse clear of debris, and hazards.
- Comply with all Employment and Health & Safety Policies and Procedures.
- Maintain and aid in updating Shipper/Receiver job description depending on if duties/responsibilities have changed or evolved.
- Perform other activities as directed by superiors.

**Working Conditions**:

- Workweeks are 5 days, Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day starting at 7am in the morning and ending at 3pm.
- 3-month probation period.
- Performance meetings with superiors once a year or as often as deemed necessary.
- Ability to work in ALL weather conditions.
- Any overtime (any hours over 80 in two weeks) will be paid time and a half or to avoid going over the 80 hours will result in a day off in lieu of.
- The Shipper/Receiver is entitled to one half an hour of paid time for lunch.
- The Shipper/Receiver is entitled to 2 weeks off a year after 1 year of work at 4% for the first 5 years and 3 weeks after 5 years at 6%.
- The Shipper/Receiver is eligible for Benefits of health, dental, vision and life insurance after 3 months of working for the company.

**Employment Requirements**:

- Punctual, meticulous, organized, and reliable.
- Excellent communication skills with all levels of management.
- Must be familiar with the Occupational Health and Safety Legislation including _The Workers Compensation Act _and the _BC Occupational Health and Safety Regulation_
- Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift 50lbs or more.
- Ability to work independently or as an active member of a team.
- Capable of physical, manual labour.
- Courteous manners with the public, staff, and management.

**Possible Requirements**:

- Forklift, first aid, fall restraint training, or heavy haul endorsement if deemed necessary.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
