**About Primrose**

Primrose Contracting is a Canadian heavy civil construction company based in Ontario that specializes in sewer and watermain construction for municipal and private clients. Projects completed by our team of experts include road construction, deep sewer construction in diverse ground conditions, and large diameter watermain construction.

**Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Provide overall construction management, administration, and coordination of the project.
- Develop and manage budgets, schedules, extras, change orders and payments to ensure that the project is delivered on time and cost effectively.
- Create, manage, and maintain project documentation.
- Compile time and material sheets, work orders, startup reports, notes, and photos for billing purposes.
- Ensure measures are in place to adequately monitor the progression of the work which includes regular site meetings with subcontractors as necessary, to review, coordinate and administer, their applicable work plans.
- Prepare regular, timely and accurate billings for Owners and ensure timely payment of subcontractor billings.
- Attend and lead all site and project team meetings with internal and external parities to monitor and support the teams ongoing development and progression.
- Attend to visit the project site, as necessary, and to correspond with the project superintendent, as necessary, to review the job requirements and overall progress of the work.
- Meet with clients and other parities involved in a professional manner and have the ability to communicate effectively both the concerns and best interests of the company.
- Responsible for procuring all of the required materials and subcontractors that will be incorporated into the work.
- Responsible for undertaking the necessary negotiations to ensure that the required materials and services are procured at the best possible price and within budget where possible and report all instances where reported costs exceed construction estimates.
- Monitor, interpret, and forecast a projects cost report ensuring they are in line with the estimate and maintain a positive cash flow.
- Acquire and file all necessary permits, approvals, and notices necessary for the project.
- Review all invoices for materials and services that are supplied to the project to ensure that they are accurate and consistent with the purchase orders and/or the subcontract documents.
- Review crew’s weekly timesheets to ensure proper cost coding is correct and submit to payroll.
- Maintain a good working knowledge of trade unions, their agreements, and stipulations.
- Maintain a good working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and COR certification requirements in relation to project tasks.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Skills, Qualifications & Experience**
- C.Tech., P.Eng., or CET Designation.
- Either hold or are eligible for your Gold Seal certification is a strong asset
- 4-7 years of proven experience in Project Management
- Minimum 4 years of construction experience working on civil infrastructure projects.
- Experience in budgeting, cost control and scheduling for lump sum ICI projects in the $20 million plus range.
- Excellent management skills and proactive at addressing issues before they become a problem.
- Highly developed leadership and communication skills
- Extensive experience with lump sum projects.
- Strong leadership and teambuilding abilities.
- Proficiency with MS Office specifically Microsoft Excel & MS Project (or similar) is required.
- Proficiency in Blubeam Revu (or similiar) is an asset.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $80,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
