We are currently looking for a Health & Safety Coordinator to join our growing team
The Health and Safety Coordinator ensures to drive the overall safety culture within the refinery and offices in Vancouver through continual improvement by reviewing, maintaining and improving the Health & Safety program in collaboration with the National OHS Committee and the local JOHSC members.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO JOIN THE TEAM:
- Post-Secondary education in Occupational Health and Safety (or other related studies)
- Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years’ experience of health and safety in an industrial environment
- Registered Safety Professional certificate (BCRSP) (an asset)
- Proficient in English (spoken and written)
- Experience in a unionized environment (an asset)
- Good computer skills using MS Office;
- Team player, good communicator and mobilizer
- Sense of accountability, adaptability and analysis
WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO:
- Identify and analyze work-related risks
- Participate in the implementation of appropriate action plans and corrective actions
- Support the plant management team in preventing, solving health and safety problems and implementing the OHS strategy
- Advise the management team with regard to OHS best practices
- Coordinate OHS activities such as audits, etc.
- Develop and deliver relevant safety training modules and programs
- Collaborate with Human Resources and the relevant department head(s) in the process of return to work and integration programs of new employees
- Design, review, and update, health and safety programs
- Create weekly safety crew talks for all refinery and office staff

Le coordonnateur de la santé et de la sécurité s'assure de promouvoir la culture de sécurité globale au sein de la raffinerie et des bureaux de Vancouver grâce à une amélioration continue en examinant, en maintenant et en améliorant le programme de santé et de sécurité en collaboration avec le comité national de SST et les membres locaux du JOHSC.

CE QUE NOUS CHERCHONS:
- Études postsecondaires en santé et sécurité au travail (ou autres études connexes)
- Minimum de trois (3) à cinq (5) années d'expérience en santé et sécurité en milieu industriel
- Certificat de professionnel de la sécurité enregistré (BCRSP) (un atout)
- Maîtrise de l'anglais (parlé et écrit)
- Expérience dans un milieu syndiqué (un atout)
- Bonnes compétences informatiques avec MS Office
- Esprit d'équipe, bon communicateur et mobilisateur
- Sens des responsabilités, adaptabilité et de l'analyse
CE QUE VOUS FEREZ:
- Identifier et analyser les risques liés au travail
- Participer à la mise en place de plans d'action et d'actions correctives appropriés
- Soutenir l'équipe de direction de l'usine dans la prévention, la résolution des problèmes de santé et de sécurité et la mise en œuvre de la stratégie SST
- Conseiller l'équipe de direction sur les meilleures pratiques en matière de SST
- Coordonner les activités de SST telles que les audits, etc.
- Développer et offrir des modules et des programmes de formation à la sécurité pertinents
- Collaborer avec les ressources humaines et le(s) chef(s) de service concerné(s) dans le processus de retour au travail et les programmes d'intégration
- Concevoir, réviser et mettre à jour les programmes de santé et de sécurité
- Créer des entretiens hebdomadaires avec l'équipe de sécurité pour tout le personnel
