**Key Accountabilities & Activities **#LI-Onsite #LI-RM1
- Follow all safety regulations such as Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO), Arc Flash protection and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Utilize available automation technology to increase equipment productivity, safety and reliability
- Develop SCADA dashboards to display equipment performance and status
- Investigate, find root cause, determine corrective actions/preventative measures and follow up on any deviations
- Participates and cooperates with all internal and external audits
- Perform set up and calibration for process equipment and control instrumentation as required
- Determine and program parameters for VFD’s and servo drives
- 2 plus years work experience in the Controls and Automation field
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering/Electrical Engineering Technology Diploma
- Certification in Programmable Logic controllers and related Automation equipment would be an asset
- Experience in Allen Bradley PLC (Control/Compact Logix, SLC), HMI, VFD and Servo programming
- Knowledge in Industrial Communication Protocols such as Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet, Modbus, ProfiBus, MQTT
- Experience with Inductive Automation Ignition SCADA system
- Strong understanding of Industrial Networking, VLANs
- Strong communication skills
**Additional Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience with programming languages (Python, HTML, C/C++, SQL)
- Experience in robotics, vision, barcode readers
- Experience in other platforms would also be an asset (OMRON, Mitsubishi, Automation Direct & Siemens)
- Knowledge in setup/using Virtual Machines (VMware, HyperV)
**Working Environment**
- Required to lift up to 50lbs
- Comfortable working in hot, humid and loud work environment
- Must be available to work shift work
- Wil be required to adhere to food safety GMP’s
- Travel within the GTA
