**POSITION**

**OBJECTIVE**

To assist the Manufacturing team with the successful completion of all project builds and orders with a particular focus on metal work.

**GENERAL DUTIES**
- Responsible for the overall production, design, and execution of manufacturing projects as assigned by the Shop Manager
- Assist in pulling, inspection, preparing and loading and unloading of project elements as directed
- Assist with construction of all metalwork elements and maintenance of inventory
- Install and dismantle equipment as required
- Assist other departments with finishing requirements as needed
- Assist crews as needed onsite at event job sites
- Maintain all shop equipment in a safe working condition
- Maintain the highest standard of production quality
- Complete full and accurate documentation of all work performed
- Follow and maintain safety standards and procedural guidelines
- Other duties as assigned

**SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**
- Minimum of five (5) years of professional scene shop or other metal fabrication shop experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) years college, or technical trade school
- Must have extensive knowledge of metalworking and woodworking tools and scenic construction methods
- Must be able to read and interpret CAD drawings and renderings
- Comprehensive training / certification in the safe operation of stationary and portable power tools, hand tools and other equipment
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Strong knowledge of current health and safety standards
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Capacity to establish priorities and work under pressure in a fast pace environment
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing workloads
- Ability to liaise well with others and work within a team
- Problem solving and attention to detail
- Ability to think critically and make sound decisions
- Ability to work and think independently without direct supervision
- Willingness to work additional time where necessary to complete tasks and meet deadlines

**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**
- Must be able to lift and carry seventy-five (75) pounds
- Must be able to safely climb and work at height from a ladder and personnel lift
- Must have the vision and dexterity to safely operate stationary and portable power tools and hand tools
- Must have good hand-eye coordination
- High capacity for work that is a combination of sitting, standing for extended periods, bending, crouching and kneeling
