**Peer Mentor**

The purpose of the Peer Mentoring Program is to provide a unique link for newly diagnosed people and person’s living with HIV and /or Hepatitis C, those struggling with accepting their HIV and/or Hepatitis C diagnosis and/or not engaged in care. The Peer Mentor, with the consent of individuals, will act in a supportive role to assist in linking and engaging individuals into care, re-engagement into care, and to assist in maintaining them in care. Utilization of the peer model will help decrease time to engagement in care and will assist personalized support.

**REQUIRED SKILLS**

Hands-on experience with Addiction and/or Mental Health Issues

Knowledge of HIV and Hepatitis C

Demonstrated knowledge of HIV/Hepatitis C harm reduction principles

Valid Driver’s License

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $15.00-$25.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Sturgeon Lake, SK: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- supportive care: 1 year (preferred)
