**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Responsible and accountable for processing of accurate payroll transactions on a weekly basis for hourly and salary employees.
- Provide accurate reconciliations if required
- Point of contact for payroll related inquiries from team members
- Complete new hire input into ADP Workforce Now and assist with UKG entry
- Complete termination payments including vacation pay, floater holiday pay, in lieu, severance and final reimbursements.
- Processes payroll documents including records of employment (ROE), T4’s, letters of employment, and statutory/regulated reporting
- Maintain Company Payroll records in compliance with Revenue Canada legal standards, including Payroll Register, Employee Health Tax (EHT) remittances, and Source Deductions.
- Responsible for third party insurance carrier, STD and other payroll deductions
- Compiles and distributes weekly labour reports and GLI’s to Finance department
- Compiles data and manages monthly payroll/finance reports including Headcount
- Quarterly review and verification of T4’s to ensure accuracy
- Processing YTD adjustments throughout the year if required
- Managing SIN expiration to ensure compliance with the law
- Assist with Payroll and Financial audits
- Administers Group Pension, Benefits and WSIB monthly remittances and annual reconciliations
- Managing LTD deductions during leave of absences
- Managing pension contributions during maternity/paternity leave
- Managing Company programs - Safety Boots, Annual Tool Reimbursement
- Manages company vacation program which entails issuing future vacation form, collection, and accuracy checks
- Complete termination of benefits, pension, and IT access upon employee exit People
- Administering new government initiatives along with HR
- Assist with compensation and bonus calculations and implementation
- Managing accurate payroll data such as phone numbers and addresses
- Assist with HR functions
**Qualifications (education & skills required)**:
- Post-secondary education in related field or equivalent business experience
- Minimum of 5 years full cycle payroll experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment inclusive of year end balancing and remittances
- Canadian Payroll Association (PCP) certification
- Knowledge of ADP software payroll system or similar required
- Experienced with HRIS and Time & Attendance systems (UKG Workforce Ready an asset)
- Practical knowledge of payroll standards and legislation including employment standards, EI, & WSIB
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skill set
- Special attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills demonstrated by the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
