**ROLE**:Payroll Specialist (12-month contract)

**REPORTS TO**:Payroll Manager

**LOCATION**:Burnaby, BC

We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to join our Payroll Team Our Payroll Specialist will champion the administration of payroll and implementation of ADP to all entities at Agrifoods International. You will also act as support to payroll team when needed during the implementation process.

- You have knowledge of implementation and documentation
- You have excellent communication skills, both verbally and written English
- You have excellent computer skills including MS Office including Excel
- **Experience**_
- You have 5 years of experience with Canadian Payroll and Accounting environment including Union
- You have at least 5 years of experience with complex systems in complex organizations
- You have experience being part of an implementation team of Payroll Systems
- **Nice-to-Have **_
- Experience with third-party payroll software - Avanti and ADP
- French speaking
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) an asset

**Things you will do **
- Complete regular payroll activities for head office payroll and backup the team
- Champion implementation by maintaining organizational data, assisting with system changes and more
- Assist in preparing end users with any documentation or training materials as needed
- Maintain accurate records payroll and follow up with discrepancies
- Implement and maintain standard operating procedures and reports
- Assist in various year end and month end reporting

**OTHER**
- You might need to work extra hours throughout the contract period.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
