We are a busy General Store in Albert Beach, Manitoba. We have recently expanded our commercial kitchen to respond to the community’s desire for a larger selection of prepared foods (and meals) that are healthy, economical and easy to take out and fresh baked items. We are looking for an energetic individual who is able to work independently while utilizing their creativity in further developing this exciting new in-store experience.

Full Time position (up to 40 hours a week, April to November, Winter season to be discussed) or Part time position (Up to 30 hours a week)

Flexible hours and days, however, if involved with the baking a starting time of 6 AM is required during the summer.

**Responsibilities**:

- Baking (morning shift only)
- Make fresh sandwiches
- Cut up fruit for fruit cups and trays
- Slice meat/cheese for sandwiches
- Make salads such as fresh potato salad, coleslaw
- Make fresh Salsa
- Make Sushi on weekends
- Make kabobs or other items good for BBQs or picnics
- Assist with restaurant prep when needed
- Prepare and wrap produce
- Catering fruit/ vegetable /deli trays
- Order supplies and ingredients

**Experience preferred but not required**
- Restaurant or grocery store deli or bakery experience.
- Food Handling experience
- Cooking background
- Baking background (with par-bake) helpful
- Knowledge & experience with Rational Oven helpful

**Personal Attributes**
- Creative and energetic
- Enjoy cooking and creating new recipes.
- Organised and professional
- Proficient with computers, ordering systems and learning new technologies.
- Physically able to complete the job safely (lift, carry, stand)
- Works well as a team and independently.
