**Hours**: 40 hours per week; rotating shifts on evening and weekends during ice rental season

**Salary Range**: $23.21 - During Probation $25.79 - After Probation

**Summary of Key Duties & Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Recreation 1 supports our community needs by performing janitorial, facility maintenance, ice maintenance, snow plowing, grass cutting, horticultural and park maintenance at various town properties and locations. The Recreation 1 also supports facility bookings through setups, teardowns, and monitoring of major events.

**Qualifications**:

- Successful completion of Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent. Consideration may be given to a combination of education, training, and experience
- Demonstrated ability to utilize effective interpersonal skills, tact, and good judgement working with residents, all levels of staff, elected officials, and external organizations in a community service environment
- Able to complete day, evening and weekend shifts, and work at various locations as required
- Valid Class G Driver’s License
- Basic Refrigeration Certification is considered an asset

**Conditions**:
